During the January board of education meeting, held at Riverside High School on January 12th, the school board recognized the Riverside High School football team and coaches for their historic season. This team left nothing on the field when they finished their season in the state championship. The RHS football team finished in December as the TSSAA Division I Class 2A State Runner-Up for the 2022 season. The board invited the entire team and all the coaches to the meeting to present the players with certificates and a banner to commemorate their season. The football coaches were presented with plaques to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication to these players.
Coach Frost, when asked if he had anything he wanted to say to the board or the players said, “I am just really proud of this team and proud to work in this system. These boys have worked hard all season and deserve to be recognized.” Coach Frost and his staff have also worked hard and shown that they are dedicated not only to football, but to the character development of their players. Congratulations to all players and coaches!
