Decatur County Students had the opportunity to show their support for two worthy causes on Wednesday, October 19th. Wednesday was the day chosen to bring awareness to the effects of bullying and to provide strategies for students that will decrease bullying in the schools. Unity Day promotes anti-bullying and encourages students to be kind and find ways to help others. This week is also Down Syndrome Awareness Week and students were encouraged to rock their "designer genes" by wearing their favorite or decorated jeans. Decatur County continues to celebrate Down Syndrome we
ek with crazy socks on Thursday and Blue and Gold to match the colors of the down syndrome ribbon on Friday.
