The 14th Annual Save The Children Tennessee Education Summit was held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort last week. Decatur County Schools Director Chirs Villaflor attended along with Save The Children (STC) LEAPS Afterschool Site Director Dr. Terri Anglin, STC Parsons Elementary LEAPS Afterschool Program Coordinator Angie Mangram, and STC Decaturville Elementary LEAPS Afterschool Program Coordinator Ruben Yarbro. During the opening night Service and Program Award Ceremony; Dr. Anglin was presented with the ‘Best Site Supervisor” award from STC State Director Dr. Chappel Osborne-Arnold. Presenters at the conference included Dr. Debbie Silver author of Fall Down 7 Times Get Up 8 and Elementary School Principal and Social Media Sensation Gerry Brooks.
