Senate bill 1897 and House Bill 1744. If passed, each of these bills would allow all students to eat breakfast and lunch at no cost and would require the state of Tennessee to reimburse each LEA the cost of providing a free breakfast and lunch to each student enrolled after all available federal funds have been applied.

Elementary General Education Teacher
The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for an Elementary Teaching position. Applications may be picked up at the Board of Education Office or by clicking the Certified Application link under Employment on our school system website www.decaturcountyschools.com. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an appropriate endorsement for elementary education will be considered for the position. Applications should be filled out online or downloaded and sent to Hugh Smith, Human Resources, at Decatur County Board of Education, 59 West Main Street, Decaturville, TN 38329 or emailed to hugh.smith@decaturschools.org. The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, September 30, 2022.
