The basketball game tonight at Riverside High School will be played at the regular time at 6:00pm. The gate will open at 4:00pm. It will be the regularly scheduled Senior Night!

Due to the possibility of hazardous driving conditions with refreezing of roads and fallen trees, a decision has been made to cancel school for Friday, February 3rd. This decision was made after discussion with EMS, School Transportation Supervisor, School Safety Director, and Decatur County School Board Members.
Because the National Weather Service has extended the Ice Storm Warning for Decatur County through Thursday 6:00 am, Decatur County Schools and the Afterschool Programs will be closed Thursday, February 2nd.
Decatur County Schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to the Winter Storm Warning from 6pm-noon tues. Tomorrow’s basketball with Adamsville has been been postponed. Afterschool and all other school activities need to be out of the school by 6:00 pm. All activities are cancelled for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for a Paraprofessional (Teacher Assistant) position. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Prior to employment, the applicant selected must verify 2 years of college or pass the Parapro Assessment. Applicants must also successfully pass a TBI Fingerprint Background check as well as a physical by a Licensed Physician. The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for the position of Middle School Cheerleading Coach.
