2024-25 Decatur County Schools Calendar
The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for a Mathematics teacher for Grades 7-12. Applicants should submit a detailed resume that includes previous employment experience and all Tennessee teacher license certifications. Applications may be picked up at the Board of Education Office or downloaded from www.decaturcountyschools.com under the Employment tab. Only applicants with a current Tennessee teacher license with an endorsement in K-5, K-8, or Mathematics 6-12, 7-12, or 6-10 will be considered for the position. High School ELA Teacher Position
The Decatur County School System is seeking applicants for a middle school English Language Arts position for the 2024-25 School Year. Applicants should submit a detailed resume and application that includes previous employment experience and all Tennessee teacher license certifications.
Applicants will be required to:
*Have an active Tennessee Educator License with an English 6-12 endorsement
*Complete a Background Check and Physical prior to employment

Applicants must have an Active LPN or RN license with experience in Pediatric Nursing preferred. Starting the 2024-2025 school year, Decatur County Schools will be participating in the CEP program or Community Eligibility Provision meaning all Decatur County Schools students are eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch meal at no cost. This is a program offered through USDA that any school that participates in the Nation School Breakfast and Lunch Programs can apply for and see if they qualify. This is a PILOT PROGRAM for one year for Decatur County. We hope to be able to continue for more than one year but that will depend on student participation and sustainability financially. This is great news for families in Decatur County so we wanted to go ahead and let families know.
With USDA programs there are guidelines we have to follow on what and how much we can serve. We wanted to get feedback from students on what meals you would like to see served that we don’t already serve or what are some of your favorite meals. Parents, please ask your students and return any comments by Friday May 24th.
