
Riverside High School Fall Theatre Class will present Once on This Island. Opening Night (Nov. 10th @6pm) will be Theatre & Hors d’oeurves. Additional performances Saturday night (Nov. 12th @7pm) and Sunday afternoon (Nov. 13th @2:30pm).

There will be a meeting for ALL third grade parents regarding the new third grade retention law. The meeting at Decaturville Elementary will be Wednesday, November 2nd at 5:30pm and the meeting at Parsons Elementary will take place on Thursday, November 3rd at 6:00pm.


We are so proud of our Director of Schools, Mr. V, for speaking at a meeting about the great things Decatur County is doing to raise ACT scores for our students! While the state average has gone down since Covid, Decatur county students continue to climb! Way to go!!

The Decatur County School System is seeking applications for a substitute School Nurse. Applicants must have an Active LPN or RN license with experience in Pediatric nursing preferred. A letter is being sent home today with all 3rd Grade Students explaining the recently passed Tennessee Learning Loss Remediation Act. Please know, retention is never a decision made lightly, or at this point in the year. There is a lot of learning to take place as well as options for interventions. ~ DES

Decatur County Middle School will be hosting "Pumpkin-Palooza," a holiday mart, in the DCMS gym Saturday, October 22nd, from 9am until 2pm. Please go out and support these students and local vendors!

Join us tonight at Larry Barrett Stadium as our Riverside Panthers take on the Adamsville Cardinals at 7:00pm. Tonight is the pink out game so let's deck out the stadium in Pink in support of Breast Cancer and cheer on the Panthers to another victory!

Next week we will celebrate Unity Day and Down Syndrome Awareness Week. We will have three special "dress up" days county wide in which we can all show our support for our students with Down Syndrome! Please show these students how much they are loved and cared for!
