The Decatur County School System is seeking a part-time aide for the Little Panthers Preschool and Daycare. Duties will include light cooking and cleaning, helping with children, and providing assistance to teachers. The position is four hours per day, five days a week. Tryouts for the DCMS Lady Panthers' basketball team will be held on August 14th from 4-5pm in the DCMS gym. This will be for girls in grades 4th-8th grade that missed tryouts back in March. Please see the attached picture for more information.

Students that ride bus 8 in the afternoons will not leave their schools until approximately 3:30 pm each day until further notice. Students will be supervised and monitored during this time. Thank you for your understanding.
There will be a free "yard sale" tomorrow for school clothes, shoes, and accessories from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. This will be hosted at Coordinated School Health located at 40 School Drive in Parsons.

Parents and Guardians, our DCMS 2023-24 students schedules will hopefully go 'live' on ParentVue by 8/1/23. We are still making schedule changes to ensure students are properly placed. Barring major issues, we encourage students and parents to wait at least two weeks before requesting changes.

Should you notice extra law enforcement agencies at DCMS today and tomorrow, please know it is planned training with all of our local law enforcement agencies.
New student orientation at Decatur County Middle School will be held on August 1st from 5:00-6:00pm beginning in the DCMS gym. This is for any new students and 5th grade.
There will be a special called board meeting on Tuesday, July 25th at 6pm with a board work session at 5pm in the board room at the board of education.
DCMS new student orientation will be on 8/1 from 5:00-6:00. Meet in the gym at 5 then tour the school :)
Freshman orientation will be held at Riverside High School on August 1st at 7:00 pm. All new students and Freshman are encouraged to attend!
