Senate bill 1897 and House Bill 1744. If passed, each of these bills would allow all students to eat breakfast and lunch at no cost and would require the state of Tennessee to reimburse each LEA the cost of providing a free breakfast and lunch to each student enrolled after all available federal funds have been applied.
School Nutrition Association is encouraging our school administrators, teachers, and parents to contact your senator and representative in your district. We all know there is strength in numbers so they thought the more people we share it with the more we could get it directed to the ones who have the ability to institute change.
