Decatur County Schools

Mrs. Vickie Tate has been chosen as Parsons Elementary Teacher of the Month for December.  Ms. Tate was voted on by her fellow teachers for her work with all students. Before this year, she taught 3rd and 4th grade science and currently teachers 4th grade science.  Vickie has been teaching in Decatur County and Parsons Elementary School for more than 10 years and has made a big impact on students during that time.  Her colleagues had many things to say about her, "She is always engaging the children in fun science activities and she is teaching every time we pass the room.”  Ms. Vickie is always finding ways to strengthen her teaching practice and make learning meaningful for students. "She makes learning fun for the kids." We are so lucky that Mrs. Vickie Tate chose Decatur County and Parsons Elementary to better with her teaching and love for students.
