We are proud to shine the spotlight on two exceptional teachers, Mrs. Mandy Hutcherson and Mrs. Michelle Lamson, for their dedication to professional growth and their commitment to improving literacy education in our district. This week, Mrs. Mandy and Mrs. Michelle attended the Reading 360 training at the UT Martin Parsons Center presented by Dr. Tammie Patterson. Dr. Patterson stated, “These ladies' attentiveness and hard work from this week alone is a testament to their dedication to providing the best education for our students.”

The Reading 360 initiative focuses on enhancing teachers' skills in reading instruction, equipping them with the latest strategies and resources to support student literacy. By participating in this training, Mrs. Mandy and Mrs. Michelle learned innovative techniques to help students develop strong reading skills, a crucial foundation for academic success.

Preparing for the school year requires time, resources, and much effort. These ladies exemplify the dedication and passion that Decatur County Schools teachers bring to their roles. Their participation in the Reading 360 program highlights their willingness to go above and beyond for their students and their commitment to continuous learning.

Mrs. Mandy Hutcherson is a 4th Grade ELA teacher at Parsons Elementary, and Mrs. Michelle Lamson serves as a Reading Specialist at Decaturville Elementary. Each is an asset to the teaching field, their school, and our system.

Please join us in celebrating Mandy Hutcherson and Michelle Lamson for their hard work and dedication. Their efforts not only enhance their professional growth but also significantly impact the students they teach. We are grateful for their commitment to excellence and proud to have them as part of our Decatur County Schools community.
