Decatur County Schools is thrilled to announce that Mrs. Taylor Carroll is joining Parsons Elementary as our new school nurse! Mrs. Carroll brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student health and well-being. Her dedication to providing excellent care and support for our students is truly commendable.

Mrs. Taylor is a graduate of Decatur County Schools and is excited to return to serve in her hometown. She states, “I'm very excited about this opportunity, and I look forward to this school year and starting this new journey! It's exciting to be doing something different with my nursing career in my hometown and the school system I grew up in. I look forward to meeting all the kiddos and getting to know them, and just becoming part of this wonderful school system family!”

Carroll obtained a BSN from The University of Memphis, Loewenburg College of Nursing, Memphis, TN. Her previous positions have been at West TN Healthcare Jackson, TN- acute Pulmonary progressive step-down unit for nine years and Braden Health- Henderson County Community Hospital- ER for the last two years. She states her goal for the upcoming school year is “just having the kids at PES know I care about them, and I'm one they can trust.”

Mrs. Taylor is married to Jordan Carroll. Together, they have two children: Willow, 5, who will be in kindergarten this year, attending PES, and Ridge, who will turn 3 in August, attending the Little Panthers Daycare/Preschool. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, camping, scuba diving, and spending time with her family.
