Decatur County Schools

Ms. Whitney Gulledge, Kindergarten teacher, was named Teacher of the Month at Parsons Elementary School. Her fellow teachers said, “Ms. Whitney works hard every day for her students and PES. She does a great job on the yearbook and makes sure everyone is included. She loves her students, and she shows it by continuously researching new techniques to better her teaching. She looks at her students as the whole child and takes every opportunity to meet them where they are and help them grow. Ms. Whitney is a great teacher who loves her students!” Administration at PES said Ms. Whitney was chosen for her dedication, consistency, motivation, and professionalism.  Decatur County is very thankful for Ms. Whitney and her decision to spend her career in Decatur County.
