Federal Programs - Every Student Succeeds Act
Decatur County Schools receives funds under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to provide a variety of programs throughout the school system. ESSA funds are appropriated to each of the schools within the county and used to fund not only salaries, but also many of the supplementary instructional programs found within our schools. Parental engagement is a critical component of programs funded by ESSA.
The following programs are provided in Decatur County Schools as a part of Every Student Succeeds:
Title I, Part A – Improving Basic Programs
Title I, Part C – Education of Migratory Children
Title I, Part D – Prevention & Intervention Program for Children & Youth Who are Neglected, Delinquent or At-Risk
Title II, Part A – Supporting Effective Instruction
Title III, Part A – Language Instruction for English Learners and Immigrant Students
Title IV, Part A – Student Support & Academic Enrichment for a Well-Rounded Education
Title V, Part B – Rural Education Initiative
Title IX, Part A – Homeless Education
